Creating a unified access system for video surveillance cameras across an entire region

Multiple disconnected surveillance systems across cities with no centralized access for law enforcement agencies, resulting in delayed investigation processes.
The "Safe City" concept has been implemented in this region for over a decade. Whereas cameras existed in certain cities, regional law enforcement had no unified access. When video footage was urgently needed, officers first had to determine who owned the camera and who could access it.
Together with regional ISP we created a unified camera access system with centralized management while preserving the existing infrastructure in municipalities. We chose Flussonic Watcher to implement the project for three key reasons:
The project delivered significant improvements to regional security infrastructure while successfully preserving municipal investments in existing systems.
The 'Safe Region' system complements existing solutions rather than replacing them. Future plans include:
The system is ready for growth—if more capacity is needed, new servers can simply be added. All the capabilities for this are already built into the solution architecture.
Residents now have a more secure urban environment, while municipal and law enforcement services have an effective tool for ensuring public safety. The system continues to develop, gradually covering more populated areas and integrating new systems to protect citizens.
